Aims

The program “Teachers’ Training in Environmental Education" of the "Environmental Education Initiative" in Kenya aims at enabling teachers to plan realistic and relevant, specific environmental projects in her schools and to implement them together with students and fellow teachers. Environmental awareness of all concerned is thereby sharpened and strengthened. The program’s main concern is to support sustainable, long term environmental activities. To ensure sustainability, each school is visited by program manager Sarah Ater several times a year. In addition, the teachers have the opportunity to meet after the seminar and exchange experience and knowledge gained.
